Marklew Productions was formed in 2007 in the heart of Birmingham. Since then, we have been providing the highest quality equipment and professional service for live events for a large range of clients.
We specialise in creative event production including in-house set/stage design and supply high quality equipment for all types of events. We stock equipment from some of the industries best brands including: Clay Paky, Ayrton, Robe, Arri, Avolites plus much more.

Managing Director
Kieran Marklew
With initially just a passion for lighting design, Kieran started Marklew Productions in 2007 which later developed the company into designing and building set & stage. In 2019 this company expanded into creating Birmingham Film Studio. Kieran leads a multi skilled team that knows how to deliver for our clients and continue to grow our business for the future.
Project Manager
Jonny Hands
Jonny has over 15 years experience working in the events industry, managing a wide range of projects. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for design and build, Jonny looks after our client’s from initial enquiry right through to completion on site. He keeps the team in check with his schedules and deadlines.
Technician/Set Builder
Craig Price
Craig has been working in the events industry for over 10 years in a variety of technical roles. He now works with MPL as an all-round technician from building set and stage to helping bring clients ideas to reality. You’ll usually find him filling our set panels with staples while creating seamless set wraps.
Project Administrator
AJ Diaz-Thomas
AJ joins us from BOA Stage and Screen Academy as the latest addition to the MPL team. She brings her skills in organisation and initiative to this role. She graduated from BOA after studying Film Production and is now up skilling herself in the events industry.
Live Event Technician
Izzy Bath
As a BOA Stage and Screen graduate, Izzy has recently started her journey in the events industry with Marklew Productions Ltd, hoping to grow her knowledge and skill set. She joins the team as the Live Events Technician.
Live Event Technician
Damion Duffy
Damion has joined our team at MPL as the Live Event Technician. He has come from the motor industry working with luxury vehicles and now adds his expertise in events, set builds and construction. He's got an eye for detail and doesn't settle for anything less than perfect.
